Bump update

I had really high intensions to take lots of pictures this pregnancy but time escaped me and here we are at 38 weeks...  Well as I am writing this I am technically 39 weeks and 4 days!  We have been going to my midwife for weekly check ups- the last time I went in I was dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced- kind of a bummer because I thought I would be farther by now but if I learned anything from Jenson it's that my babies like to stay extra long!

I am technically due June 26th but my mom won't even get here till the night of the 27th so I'm making her wait until then to come at least! haha  I have been feeling some cramping, still have some killer pelvis pain and my ankle stated acting up as well making it hard to even walk.  I'm starting to swell up and my back and body hurts haha but I am still so thankful to finally be able to be pregnant!  It's a weird feeling wanting to be done being pregnant so bad but then being so scared to actually have to have another baby join your family!  It's going to be such a big change!

I think we have everything we need now for the baby and my hospital bags are mostly packed- so now begins the waiting game.  My guess is she will get here on the 30th and share a birthday with my mom but who knows she might surprise us all!

Fathers Day!

Every year for Fathers Day we do a little photoshoot- It's crazy to see how big Jenson has gotten!

We had a fabulous day at Church.  I was released as a nursery leader, activity days leader, and Relief Society board member and called as the 2nd councilor in the RS- it's a big change and I hope I can rise to the calling but it will be a fun adventure! I will miss working with Babe in the nursery though!

Jenson was so proud of his drawing and m&m tie that he made for Babe- he made sure everyone saw it as he was walking down the halls saying "happy Fathers day!  It's m&m time!"

After church we went to our friends house for a BBQ, she had lots of water balloons to play with!  Jenson was in heaven the whole time!

And now a few of my favorite photos of the best dad I know (besides my own and my FIL ;) ) Happy Fathers Day to all you amazing dads!

Business Card Ceremony

Babe is officially in the student clinic this trimester which means he gets to start actually adjusting family!  We are so proud of him!  The school does a big ceremony for all the new interns and gives them their official business cards so they can start handing them out and getting more patients! They had a nice lunch for them and their families!  It was nice being able to go and support him, he has worked so hard to get to this point and we couldn't be more proud of him!

He even did his first adjustment on Jenson the other day in the clinic!

We love you Babe!  You hard work is starting to pay off!!

Thomas the Train!

Thomas and Percy were coming to town, and if you know Jenson you know his obsession for trains so we just had to take him!  They advertisements made it seem a ton bigger with lots of things to do, so we were a little disappointed in all that was actually there but Jenson didn't seem to mind!

 "petting zoo"

The highlight for him was getting to ride on Thomas- it wasn't anything spectacular but he still talks about it!
He is actually smiling here.. it was just really hot and windy haha

We sure love spoiling his train loving boy!

Summer time randomness

Kansas has storms like I have never witnessed before.  Within minutes it can go from sunny to a crazy storm.  The other night I was picking up a few things from Walmart, as I was walking to the car I saw some lightning and was excited to get home before the storm hit.  Babe called me just then as asked me to go get some vegetable oil because we were all out.  I ran (waddled) back inside walmart grabbed it and got out within 5 minutes.  This time while walking to the car it was a light sprinkle.  We only live like 3 minutes away from Walmart and in that time it went from a sprinkle to wind gusts and rain so hard I could hardly see what was in front of me.  Babe ran out to the car to help me bring in the groceries- which took less then 5 seconds tops and when he got back inside he was already this wet!  I'm telling you, it was a crazy storm!
We hit up the pool almost every day with friends, the water feels amazing and Jenson is quite the little swimmer!

Swimming all day = one sleepy boy!
We also got our new stroller for when baby sister gets here, Jenson just had to go on a ride and test it out!  I think he approves, we can't wait to have both our kids ride on it!
Before the pools open and the weather gets to hot we like to go outside and Jenson rides his bike or scooter up and down the sidewalk!  I sure love these little moments with him!

^^ obsessed with his superman mask and cape! ^^
I think we played a little to hard the other day because Jenson woke up with a fever.  He was so cuddly all day and wouldn't let me leave his side.  It was a nice break when daddy came home and took over for a bit so I could get some stuff done.  Later that night he ended up throwing up all over me and our bed, but after a warm bath and some more cuddles he finally fell asleep and woke up the next day totally normal!  I guess it was just his bodies way of telling him he had to slow down for a day!

Babe loves puzzles and Jenson just got into them as well.  He was trying to help dad sort all the pieces but got a little frustrated so Jenson went back to his simple 4 piece puzzles haha  Maybe someday they can finish a puzzle together!
