Jenson turns 2!

We had a pretty low key party for Jenson this year.  We celebrated all weekend long- all things Mickey Mouse!  We had some friends over for cake and ice cream- clearly his favorite part!  

 I also made his birthday shirt this year! :) 

^^ and seriously? how cute is his little mini me Lindsay made for him?! ^^

 My sweet mom sent us all this Mickey stuff because she knows how much I wish family could be there, I know they wanted to be here too! 

Happy birthday to the boy who can test my limits the most, and yet who makes my heart melt the next!  You are crazy active, love to read, LOVE elephants or "D" as you call them, loves sweets, being outside, and your best friend Hailey.  We love you more then anything, I can hardly believe you are already two!! XOXO 

Jenson turns 1

Jenson's birthday was pretty low key since Dad was at school all day, so we just hung out around the house till he got home!  We started the day with some sprinkle pancakes for breakfast! :) 

 After his nap I blew up a ton of balloons and let him go crazy with them in his crib- he had the time of his life!  It was so fun to watch!  

 We dad got home from school we ate dinner, facetimed our families and let Jenson open his presents! He sure got spoiled!! 

 The next day we had a little birthday party for him- I wish I would have taken more pictures of the decorations and not just the food but all well! ;) I had fun planning and putting together his party- it helped distract me from thinking about not having any of our family in town to celebrate with us (we will have to do a party for him at christmas time next year so everyone can be there!)

He was pretty happy considering he had just gotten his 1 year old shots a few hours before... bad timing on my part! 

We went with the "winter ONEderland" theme- and lots of penguins in honor of his dad!

 All in all I would say Jenson had the best birthday of his life ;)  

Cake Smash!

I thought for sure Jenson was going to go face first into his cake and just gobble it up! He started out small by dipping his fingers in the frosting until he got to the cake, then he went in with his fists!  It was so funny to watch but the best part was when he literally started smashing his cake!  With both hands banging on the cake like it was a drum!  Cake was flying everywhere and he was loving every minute- so was I :)
